The sprawling Amazon rainforest is mostly contained within Brazil but it also covers parts of French Guiana, Ecuador, Peru and Colombia, among a few other countries. Its flora and fauna are impressive although deforestation is a growing threat.
The Life of the Party!
The samba is Brazil's national dance. Its catchy rhythm can be heard at parties across the country, from the streets during Carnival to school parades at the Sambadrome in Rio.
